A CRPF soldier was killed, and three others were hurt in a gunfight in Manipur's Jiribam district. The clash began at 9:30 am and lasted for two hours on Sunday. Ajay Kumar Jha, a CRPF driver from Bihar, was shot in the forehead and declared dead at Jiribam district hospital. Another CRPF jawan and two state police commandos were injured and are receiving treatment. Chief Minister N Biren Singh condemned the attack, suspected to be by Kuki militants, and offered condolences to the soldier's family, praying for the recovery of the injured.
