BTS member Jin became the first torchbearer for the 2024 Paris Olympics, carrying the Olympic flame through Paris on July 14, Bastille Day, the French National Day. He was seen holding the torch at the Louvre Museum, representing South Korea. Jin departed Seoul on July 11 for the event. The flame, lit in Olympia, Greece on April 16, will arrive in Paris on July 26 for the Olympics' opening ceremony. The torch relay will cover 400 cities in France and some overseas regions, involving around 10,000 torchbearers, including Jin. This marks a significant appearance for a K-pop star in the Olympic torch relay.
