Police have arrested Qazim Ansari, 40, for the murder of Jitan Sahni, 70, in Darbhanga district. Sahni, father of former Bihar minister Mukesh Sahni, was found dead at his home on Tuesday. Ansari, a resident of Supaul Bazar, confessed to borrowing ₹1.5 lakh from Sahni and failing to repay it. He was arrested within 24 hours of the crime. Police are investigating further to see if anyone else was involved. The motive behind the murder was established as non-repayment of the loan. The case is under investigation and further details are awaited.
