IndiGo airlines announced the cancellation of 192 flights on Friday due to a global computer outage affecting travel systems worldwide. The airline cited a "cascading effect" from the Microsoft Azure network issue, which has disrupted operations and temporarily disabled rebooking and refund options. Delhi International Airport reported significant delays, with passengers experiencing long waits at check-in and baggage counters. Other budget carriers, SpiceJet and Akasa, also faced similar disruptions, resorting to manual processes. Civil aviation minister Rammohan Naidu urged airlines and airports to provide extra amenities for affected passengers, emphasizing the need for patience and cooperation during the crisis.
