One Indian soldier was killed and four others injured in a foiled attack by Pakistan's Border Action Team (BAT) along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir. A Pakistani terrorist was also killed in the encounter. The incident occurred after reports of possible terrorist movements in the area.
