World No. 1 Iga Świątek, fresh from her French Open victory, easily secured the first set 6-2 against Romania’s Irina-Camelia Begu. Świątek, aiming for Olympic gold, follows in the footsteps of her father, Tomasz, who competed in rowing at the 1988 Seoul Olympics.
