Three students tragically died in a flooded basement at Rau's IAS Study Circle in Delhi's Old Rajinder Nagar. Abhishek Gupta, the centre's owner, and Deshpal Singh, the coordinator, have been arrested on charges of culpable homicide and negligence. The victims, two females and one male, were identified as Tania Soni (25), Shreya Yadav (25), and Nevin Dalwin (28). The basement, intended for storage, housed a library where the students were trapped. Delhi Mayor Shelly Oberoi has ordered action against basement-operating coaching centres and an inquiry into potential MCD officer negligence.
