India's Ramita Jindal has made history by reaching the final of the Women's 10m Air Rifle event at the Paris 2024 Olympics. With a score of 631.5, Ramita finished in the 5th spot, becoming the first Indian female rifle shooter since her coach, Suma Shirur (Athens 2004), to achieve this feat. Despite a slow start, she displayed exceptional skill in the final series to secure her place. Compatriot Elavenil Valarivan, who led halfway, finished 10th. South Korea's Hyojin Ban topped the round, setting an Olympic Qualification record. Ramita now aims for a medal in the final.
