On Day 5 of the Paris Olympics, Indian athletes achieved notable successes. Boxer Lovlina Borgohain advanced to the quarter-finals in the women’s 75kg category after a commanding performance in her opening bout. Meanwhile, archer Deepika Kumari progressed to the Round of 16 in women’s individual archery. She won her match against Netherlands' Quinty Roeffen 6-2. Deepika took the first set 29-28 but lost the second set 27-28 before winning the third set 25-17. Both athletes’ strong performances are enhancing India’s presence in the competition.
