This move follows complaints about intense heat and humidity impacting athletes' performance. The decision was made after consultations with the Indian Olympic Association and the French Embassy. Despite the Games' organisers opting for minimal air conditioning to reduce the carbon footprint, other nations, including the USA, have also provided portable AC units for their teams. The air conditioners are expected to improve comfort and performance for Indian athletes.
