India had a mixed day at the Paris Olympics 2024 on Day 9. The men's hockey team defeated Great Britain 4-2 in a penalty shootout, advancing to the semifinals despite playing with 10 men for most of the match. In badminton, Lakshya Sen fought valiantly but lost the opening game 20-22 against Viktor Axelsen. Boxer Lovlina Borgohain, however, exited the competition after a close quarterfinal bout against China's Li Qian, losing by split decision.
