Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat was disqualified from the 50kg freestyle wrestling event at the Paris Olympics due to being overweight by 100 grams. Despite her historic achievement of becoming the first Indian woman to reach the final, Phogat was disqualified just before her gold medal bout. She had previously defeated top competitors, including Yui Susaki and Yusneylis Guzman Lopez.
