Aman Sehrawat is one victory away from winning a medal at the Paris 2024 Olympics. The 21-year-old wrestler advanced to the semi-finals of the men’s 57kg event by defeating Albania’s Abarakov Zelimkhan 12-0 through technical superiority. Earlier, Aman secured a 10-0 win against North Macedonia’s Vladimir Egorov. His next challenge is against top-seeded Rei Higuchi of Japan. Aman is the only male wrestler in India’s contingent at this Olympics. Meanwhile, Anshu Malik’s hopes now rely on her opponent’s progress after a Round of 16 defeat.
