Vinesh Phogat's plea against her disqualification from the Paris 2024 Olympics was accepted by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). The wrestler, disqualified for being 100 grams overweight in the women's 50kg final, will have her hearing at 10 am local time (1:30 pm IST) today. Vinesh had appealed for a joint silver medal, after her initial plea to participate in the final was denied. The Indian government has appointed renowned lawyer Harish Salve to represent her at the CAS hearing.
