This follows the post-mortem report confirming sexual assault and multiple injuries before the doctor's death. The incident has sparked widespread protests by junior doctors and medical students demanding justice. The Federation of Resident Doctors Association (FORDA) stated, "The strike won’t stop unless justice is served." The Indian Medical Association (IMA) also called for stronger laws to protect doctors, urging the central government to introduce effective legislation to ensure their safety.
