The family of a 31-year-old trainee doctor, raped and murdered at Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, revealed their harrowing ordeal. Initially told their daughter had died by suicide, they were made to wait three hours outside the hospital. When they finally saw her body, it was described as being in a horrifying state with broken glasses in her eyes and legs spread apart. An autopsy confirmed she was choked to death, with extensive injuries and signs of sexual torture. The Calcutta High Court has now transferred the case to the CBI for further investigation.
