A 33-year-old nurse from Gadarpur, Uttarakhand, was raped and murdered while returning home from work. Her body was discovered in an empty plot in Uttar Pradesh's Dibdiba area over a week later. The accused, Dharmendra, a laborer from Bareilly, was arrested in Rajasthan after police traced the victim's stolen phone. Dharmendra confessed to attacking the nurse with the intent to rob her, then raping and strangling her to death before fleeing with her jewelry. The victim's sister had filed a missing person’s report on July 31, leading to a police investigation.
