Resident Doctors' Associations (RDAs) across Delhi will hold a joint protest march on August 16, starting at 2 PM from Nirman Bhavan, in response to the rape-murder of a trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College in Kolkata. The decision was made after a meeting involving representatives from AIIMS Delhi, SJH, and MAMC. The Delhi Medical Association (DMA) has also scheduled a candle march at India Gate at 5 PM on Friday and announced a 24-hour strike from 6 AM on August 17. DMA President-elect Dr. Girish Tyagi expressed solidarity with the victim’s family and highlighted the inadequate working conditions for resident doctors.
