Kolkata Police summoned BJP leader Locket Chatterjee, Dr Kunal Sarkar, and Dr Subarna Goswami on Sunday for allegedly spreading misleading information and revealing the identity of the trainee doctor raped and murdered at RG Kar Medical College on August nine. The police accused Dr Sarkar and Dr Goswami of disseminating false details about the post-mortem report, while Chatterjee allegedly disclosed the victim's identity. Two cases have been registered. The situation remains tense as the individuals are expected at Lalbazar for questioning. A nationwide strike by the Indian Medical Association in protest of the incident ended today.
