The Calcutta High Court has allowed the CBI to conduct a polygraph test on Sanjay Roy, accused in the rape-murder of a doctor at RG Kar Medical College. Roy, a civic volunteer with the Kolkata Police, was arrested after the doctor’s body was found on August 9. The CBI has not yet set a date for the test. Roy is currently in police custody for 14 days. The High Court transferred the investigation from Kolkata Police to the CBI on August 14. The process for the polygraph test is still ongoing.
