The Supreme Court on Tuesday ordered the CISF to provide enhanced security at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata, following the rape and murder of a trainee doctor. The court's decision comes after mob vandalism on August 14, which led to the evacuation of nearby residents. The bench, led by Chief Justice DY Chandrachud, also formed a national task force to ensure the safety of doctors across India. The next hearing is scheduled for August 22, when the CBI is expected to submit its investigation report on the incident.
