CJI Chandrachud Corrects Lawyer's Error, Warns Against Social Media Misinformation in Kolkata Rape Case

The lawyer cited a post-mortem report as saying "151 mg of semen", but CJI Chandrachud pointed out the report actually referred to milliliters (mL), not milligrams (mg). The CJI emphasized the importance of accuracy and warned against relying on social media information. The case involves the brutal rape and murder of a 31-year-old doctor at Kolkata's RG Kar Hospital on August 9, and is being heard by a three-judge bench led by CJI Chandrachud.
