Nationwide Doctors' Strike Called Off After Supreme Court Directive on Healthcare Worker Safety and Protection

The United Doctors Front Association (UDFA) has ended its nationwide strike in response to a Supreme Court directive regarding the Kolkata rape and murder case. The UDFA announced the suspension of the strike, which was protesting the attack on a trainee doctor, following the court's assurance to address the concerns of medical professionals. The association expressed gratitude for the court’s swift action and emphasized the need for a Central Protection Act (CPA) to safeguard healthcare workers. The suspension of the strike will restore medical services across the country, which had been disrupted during the protest.
