The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has fined Air India ₹99 lakh for operating a flight with a crew that did not meet qualification standards. The flight was commanded by a captain who was not a certified trainer, alongside a first officer who had not been fully released for line duties. The DGCA also imposed fines of ₹6 lakh and ₹3 lakh on Air India’s Director of Operations and Director of Training, respectively.
