Five laborers died when the roof slab of an under-construction cottage at a resort in Choral village, Mhow tehsil, Indore district, collapsed on Thursday night. The incident occurred about 40 km from Indore’s district headquarters while the workers were asleep under the structure. Authorities were notified around 6:30 am on Friday, and police immediately launched a rescue operation, recovering the bodies from the site. Indore (Rural) Superintendent of Police Hitika Wasal confirmed the deaths and stated that an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the collapse. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
