In Amritsar, Punjab Police have arrested five people, including the father of Sukhchain Singh’s first wife, following a shooting incident. The attack, captured on CCTV, involved two assailants who shot Singh three times, hitting him in the head and chest. Singh, recently returned from the US, survived the attack and is in stable condition. The motive is linked to a grudge from the victim’s first wife’s family, following her suicide in December 2022. Police are searching for the shooters and have also booked additional suspects.
