The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has revealed significant evidence in its corruption probe against Sandip Ghosh, former principal of Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College. The probe is linked to the brutal rape and murder of a 31-year-old postgraduate doctor at the hospital. CBI officials conducted searches at Ghosh’s premises and those of 13 others, uncovering substantial evidence related to financial irregularities. The Trinamool Congress (TMC) criticized the CBI for slow progress in solving the murder case, while the BJP planned protests demanding the resignation of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and further inquiry into the health minister.
