The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted a twelve-hour search at fifteen locations linked to the former principal of RG Kar Medical College, Sandip Ghosh, and others. The operation focused on alleged financial irregularities at the Kolkata-based institution. The search resulted in the seizure of critical documents. This investigation follows the recent rape and murder of a trainee doctor at the hospital. A polygraph test was also conducted on the main accused in the rape case, which has sparked nationwide protests.
