Kolkata is under intense security as over six thousand police personnel were deployed before the 'Nabanna Abhijan' protest, led by the Paschimbanga Chhatra Samaj, demanding Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's resignation following the rape and murder of a doctor at RG Kar Hospital. Four individuals were arrested for allegedly planning violence.
