Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa is being moved to Bellary Jail after a viral photo sparked outrage over alleged VIP treatment at Bengaluru’s Parappana Agrahara Central Jail. The image showed Darshan, under judicial custody for a murder case, relaxing with a cigarette and coffee alongside three others, including a rowdy sheeter. In response, nine prison officials, including the Chief Superintendent, were suspended. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah ordered an inquiry, while Home Minister G Parameshwara announced a prison review. Darshan, along with other rowdy inmates, is being transferred as part of the investigation into prison irregularities.
