Seventeen cases have been filed in the sexual harassment scandal affecting the Malayalam film industry, resulting in the dissolution of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA). Actor Sonia Malhaar has filed a complaint with the Special Investigation Team (SIT), alleging that an actor molested her on a film set in 2013. She has requested that actor Jayasurya not be linked to her allegations. Meanwhile, actor Minu Muneer, who accused M Mukesh, Jayasurya, Maniyanpilla Raju, and Idavela Babu of harassment, has reported receiving threat messages after her accusations. The SIT is investigating the cases and will soon take Muneer’s statement.
