In Bhatpara, West Bengal, a BJP leader reported an attack on his car by Trinamool Congress workers on Wednesday. Priyangu Pandey, who was heading to BJP leader Arjun Singh's residence, said his vehicle was targeted by 50-60 people who blocked the road and threw bombs. The attackers also fired seven bullets at the car. The incident occurred in the presence of a senior Bengal police officer. The attack coincided with the BJP’s 12-hour Bengal Bandh, which was organized to protest against alleged police violence during the 'Nabanna Abhijan' rally. The driver was reportedly injured in the shooting.
