In Agra, a 20-year-old engineering student publicly stripped on August 25 to protest the lack of action in her rape case. The accused, a 22-year-old MTech student at IIT Jammu, was finally arrested on August 27. Despite filing an FIR on August 11, police had delayed the arrest, citing the accused’s absence in Jammu. Frustrated, the victim undressed in public to prompt authorities. She was subsequently taken to a mental hospital for observation. The police later confirmed the accused had been harassing the victim for months.
