Senior IPS officers Rajwinder Singh Bhatti and Daljit Singh Chaudhary have been appointed as the chiefs of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and the Border Security Force (BSF), respectively. Bhatti, a 1990 batch IPS officer from the Bihar cadre, is currently serving as the Director General of Police in Bihar, a position he has held since December 2022. Chaudhary, from the Uttar Pradesh cadre, will now head the BSF. Their appointments were announced on August 28, 2024, marking significant leadership changes in these key paramilitary forces responsible for national security and industrial safety.
