Former RG Kar Medical College principal Sandip Ghosh told the CBI he was informed of the doctor’s death 30 minutes after the body was discovered. Ghosh said, “I received a call from Tapadar at 10 am, 30 minutes after the body was found. I returned the call at 10.20 am, which is when I was first informed.” The CBI is investigating why the body was discovered at 9.30 am but the police were only informed at 10.10 am and why the crime scene was left unattended for 40 minutes.
