Nitesh Kumar secured India's second badminton medal at the Paris Paralympics 2024 after reaching the SL3 men's singles final. The 29-year-old Indian shuttler, who overcame a leg injury from a 2009 accident, defeated Japan’s Daisuke Fujihara 21-16, 21-12 in the semifinals. Nitesh, an IIT Mandi graduate, will face Great Britain's Daniel Bethell in the final. India is also assured of another medal, as Manisha Ramadass and Thulasimathi Murugesan will compete in the SU5 women's singles semifinals, while Sukant Kadam and Suhas Yathiraj battle in the SL4 semifinals.
