India’s javelin star Sumit Antil won his second consecutive Paralympics gold with a record-breaking performance in Paris on September 2. Antil, who had won gold in Tokyo with a 68.55m throw, surpassed his own record twice, first with a 69.11m throw and then a stunning 70.59m throw. Despite strong competition from Sri Lanka's Dulan Kodithuwakku, Sumit maintained his dominance. India’s medal tally at the Paris Paralympics now stands at 14, with 3 gold, 5 silver, and 6 bronze. Meanwhile, fellow Indian competitors Sandeep and Sanjay fell short, finishing 4th and 7th respectively.
