A bomb attack at the residence of former Manipur Chief Minister Mairembam Koireng in Moirang, Bishnupur district, on Friday claimed the life of an elderly man, RK Rabei Singh, who was preparing ritual items for an upcoming event. The attack, suspected to be carried out by Kuki militants, occurred around 3:30 pm. Five others were injured. The rocket was fired from a hill area, with local MLA and police arriving at the scene shortly after. The incident site is located 2 km from the INA headquarters.
