Former Wrestling Federation of India chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh accused top Congress leaders of orchestrating a conspiracy against him. He claimed that wrestlers Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia's protest, which began two years ago, was politically motivated. Singh alleged that Congress leaders Deepender Hooda and Bhupinder Hooda were involved in the "scripted drama". This comes after Phogat and Punia joined the Congress ahead of the Haryana assembly elections. Singh had faced allegations of sexual harassment during the wrestlers' protest.
