Manipur has seen a fresh surge in violence, with drone use and rocket attacks heightening tensions between the Meitei and Kuki communities. At least five people were killed in attacks across the state, including in Jiribam and Bishnupur districts. The Manipur Police have deployed anti-drone systems in response. Thousands of residents formed human chains in Imphal Valley, demanding action and condemning the violence. Chief Minister N Biren Singh held an emergency meeting to discuss the escalating situation.
