The parents of the Kolkata rape-murder victim have accused the police of covering up the crime. Speaking at a protest marking one month since their daughter, a trainee medic at RG Kar Medical College, was murdered, they expressed frustration with the investigation. The victim's mother said she "shudders" at the pain her daughter endured, while the father said they would need to "snatch" justice. The police allegedly delayed filing the FIR and tampered with evidence, adding to the family's anguish. Civic volunteer Sanjay Roy has been arrested based on CCTV footage.
