The Indian Army successfully foiled an infiltration attempt at the India-Pakistan border in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district on Monday. During the overnight operation in the Nowshera sector, two terrorists were killed, and a cache of weapons, including AK-47 rifles, was seized. Security forces launched a massive search operation as they believe more terrorists may have been hit in the crossfire. The incident comes amid heightened tensions ahead of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections scheduled to take place in three phases starting September 18.
