Protesting doctors in Kolkata have rejected West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's invitation for talks at the state secretariat, vowing to continue their strike over the rape and murder of a trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College. Doctors called the invitation "humiliating," citing their demand for Health Secretary N S Nigam's resignation and opposing the 10-person limit on representatives. Despite the government’s call for dialogue, the doctors refused to meet, continuing their protest outside Swasthya Bhavan, saying they will not resume work until all demands are met.
