West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee reported waiting two hours to meet protesting doctors, who refused to enter the meeting venue. The state government’s third invite for talks was rejected due to the doctors' insistence on live streaming the session, which the government declined, citing legal restrictions. Banerjee emphasized the need for dialogue to resolve the crisis following the rape and murder of a trainee doctor. “We were ready to record and share the meeting but cannot comply with live telecast demands due to ongoing legal proceedings,” Banerjee stated.
