A soldier was killed and three others injured in a gunfight with terrorists in Chatroo village, Kishtwar district, Jammu and Kashmir, on September 13, 2024. The incident occurred during a joint operation by the Indian Army's White Knight Corps and Jammu and Kashmir Police, launched based on intelligence inputs. The operation targeted terrorists hiding in the Pingnal Dugadda forest area. Earlier in the day, two terrorists were killed in a separate encounter in Khandara, Kathua.
