Bank Manager and Cashier Killed as SUV Submerged in Flooded Faridabad Underpass

A bank manager and a cashier were killed after their SUV was submerged in a flooded underpass in Faridabad on Friday. The victims, Punyashreya Sharma, HDFC Bank’s manager in Gurugram, and Viraj Dwivedi, a cashier, were returning home in a Mahindra XUV700 during heavy rains that had caused severe flooding in the Delhi and NCR region. Upon reaching the Old Faridabad railway underpass, they encountered rising water levels but could not escape as the SUV quickly became submerged. Police recovered their bodies after responding to the scene. The incident highlights the severe impact of the ongoing heavy rains in the area.
