West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee made a surprise visit to junior doctors protesting the rape and murder of a trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College. The doctors welcomed her visit, which occurred at the protest site near Swasthya Bhavan on Saturday. Following the visit, 15 junior doctors were invited to Banerjee's residence for a meeting. The doctors, while appreciating the CM’s assurance to study their demands, insisted they would not compromise until further discussions took place regarding their five-point demands.
