Bengaluru Police Criticized for Transporting Ganesha Idol in Van During Protest

A viral image showing a Ganesha idol placed inside a Bengaluru police van has sparked controversy. The idol, part of a protest against the Nagamangala Ganesh Visarjan procession attack, was carried by protesters who were arrested for gathering without permission. Police Commissioner B Dayananda explained that the idol was placed in the van to ensure its safety after protesters left it unattended. BJP and VHP leaders criticized the police, with Prime Minister Modi expressing concern. The idol was later respectfully immersed at a local police station.
