In the ongoing Kolkata rape-murder case, talks between junior doctors and the West Bengal government failed after a disagreement over live recording. The delegation of doctors requested live-streaming of the meeting with Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, but the government denied it citing security concerns. Later, the doctors agreed to proceed without recording, but the state informed them it was too late for the meeting. Meanwhile, former RG Kar Principal Dr. Sandip Ghosh has been arrested by the CBI for tampering with evidence. Protests by junior doctors are expected to continue.
