Junior doctors in Kolkata continued their protest despite Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee's offer to meet over tea, demanding justice for a colleague raped and murdered last month. The doctors initially requested that the meeting be live-streamed, but the government declined. “We would only have tea if justice is delivered,” said Dr. Aqeeb, a spokesperson. The CBI’s arrest of Sandip Ghosh, former principal of RG Kar Medical College, and Abhijit Mondal, police officer, strengthened their demands for accountability. Protesters refused to settle for just minutes of the meeting, continuing their calls for justice.
